Jackie and John say their goal when they started the business was about much more than selling candy.
They wanted to create a place where families could slow down, smile, and make memories together.
Life moves fast, and they wanted to create a place that brought back the excitement and wonder many of us remember from walking into a candy store as kids.
Their philosophy?
It's about nostalgia, discovery, laughter, and community.
And that philosophy is reflected in everything they do.
From scavenger hunts and seasonal displays to imported treats and interactive experiences, they're constantly looking for new ways to make someone's visit memorable.
One question they continually ask themselves is:
🍭 "How can we make someone's day a little sweeter?"
One of their proudest accomplishments isn't simply opening a second location.
It's seeing the community embrace what they've created.
They've watched children light up when they walk through the doors.
They've heard adults say:
"I haven't seen this candy in 30 years!"
And they've watched families turn Yummy Treats into part of their traditions.
Those moments are what remind Jackie and John why they started.
Today, Yummy Treats Candy & More has grown from one location in Marion to two locations, with their second store located at the Ontario Center in Mansfield.
And there's something many first-time visitors don't expect...
Just how much there is to see!
People often walk in thinking they'll be there for five minutes.
Then they discover hundreds of products, international snacks, nostalgic favorites, over 100 craft sodas, trending treats, and new surprises around every corner...
And suddenly, that five-minute trip turns into a much longer adventure. 😄
But perhaps the most meaningful part of their story is the relationship they've built with the Marion community.
Jackie and John shared:
